A Note About Flooring Installation Pattern
Although most floors are laid straight, installing hardwood, bamboo, cork, laminate, tile, and stone flooring in a diagonal
pattern is an option. This will increase the waste factor* to an average of 15%.
*What is waste factor? It's the amount of extra flooring above the actual measured square footage that
you will need to complete the job.
