Green Globes is a green organization that allows users to assess, rate, and certify new and existing buildings for environmentally friendly or "green" attributes. The Green Globes rating system is primarily used by eco–conscious engineers, architects, building owners and operators, constructions professionals, and government officials.

Green Globes operates in the United States and in Canada. In the U.S., Green Globes is operated by the Green Building Initiative (GBI) which was one of the first green organizations to become accredited as an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards developer. Users then receive a Green Globe point rating with 1000 being the maximum allowable points. Once 35% or more of the 1000 points have been achieved, the user qualifies to apply for Green Globe’s official certification for their building. A third–party assessor will then work with the user during certification by completing building walkthroughs and checking documentation.
