FindAnyFloor set to help displaced flooring customers in struggling floor industry

On December 5th ifloor (ifloor.com) announced they had filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. Most of the staff for the Tuckwila, Washington company was laid off and the remaining flooring inventory will be liquidated. At one time ifloor had annual revenues of 60 million dollars, but that number had fallen in recent months, blamed partly on the declining economy. Ironically, ifloor's online floor competitor Lumber Liquidators is reporting near record sales this year.

Since most online floor stores are not publicly traded like Lumber Liquidators, it is hard to gauge how the online flooring industry is doing. The question becomes are more online flooring stores doing as well as Lumber Liquidators, or are they close to closing their doors.

"It's unfortunate to see a large flooring company like ifloor.com go bankrupt" said FindAnyFloor.com CEO Damien Patton. "Although this comes as a surprise to the flooring community, both professionals and consumers, I guess anything is expected in today's economic climate."

FindAnyFloor.com is here to help flooring consumers that purchased material from online floor stores such as ifloor.com. Flooring shoppers that no longer have ifloor.com or their local retailer available to help find flooring installers in their area or to answer flooring questions, will be able to do so for FREE on FindAnyFloor.com. One of the fastest growing flooring websites today, FindAnyFloor.com has established a Chat Live feature throughout the website to help flooring shoppers connect to floor professionals to answer their flooring questions; from care and repair, to installation.

"We have noticed a tremendous increase in our sites traffic," said Damien, "a significant amount of this traffic is do–it–yourself (DIY) homeowners looking for help on their floor installation project." FindAnyFloor.com has free installation guides and videos for most major flooring types; from tile to hardwood, laminate to carpet. The flooring installation guides come in two versions, a quick guide or a full guide. The quick guide is meant for the savvy do it yourselfer that has done flooring or other home improvement projects in the past. The full guide is for anyone that hasn't installed flooring previously and wants a step by step flooring guide to assist them.

In these uncertain economic times, flooring consumers and professionals can be assured that FindAnyFloor.com will be there to help. As always, FindAnyFloor welcomes flooring professionals to contribute to the site to continue to enhance the experience for all users.

Wish I knew what to do about my order. In October, 2008 I was told my defective laminate flooring was being replaced. The order was placed Nov. 17th, 2008 and I was told it was backordered. I was told the flooring would arrive mid-January. Now I have an order for $1,400 worth of flooring, and no one will answer my emails. Their phone does not work. Their web site is still operating though, for placing new orders of the exact floor I'm waiting on!
