What flooring would you recommend in a bedroom for someone that has severe asthma?

Not carpet. I would say tile or stone.

Some type of hard surface that is easy to clean. Wood, laminate, and tile are all good choices.

Thanks. I'm leaning towards hardwood. I will let you know what I decide on!

Keep in mind for a bedroom that hard surfaces are exactly that...hard. They can also be cold on the feet first thing in the morning. You might consider a fiberglass backed vinyl. These floors are much softer and warmer for a bedroom, but are still very asthma and allergy friendly.

Tile or stone for a bedroom would be a very cold surface unless you have in floor heat. I think the best choices would be laminate or hardwood with possibly an acrylic area rug at the bed. Whatever your choice is be sure to keep the area clean as alergens will be on top of the surface and will get into the air.
