Will a humidifier help to keep my carpet from growing mold and other allergens? If so is there a specific humidifier that you would recommend?

RE: humidifier - reduce allergens??
Use a humidifier only if you are in a dry climate. Humidifiers add humidity to the air, so I don't see how that would cut down on mold and allergens.

RE: humidifier - reduce allergens??
If you are in a humid climate a de-humidifier would help reduce moisture that could cause mold and mildew in your carpets.
