Hello This is my second think.
Now for the weaving, the patient, painstaking labor at which so many hundreds of
thousands of swarthy fingers are flying, and have been flying since the days of
the Pharaohs. Measured by results it is a wonder work; watched, in its tireless repetition of
three simple processes that a child can master, it seems no more of an art than
the constant turning of an hour glass-which, in fact, to myriads of these Eastern people,
it is. The whole thing is simple, to look at, to read about; but there is, nevertheless, some
peculiar spirit, some mental drift, some inherent and mysterious fitness pervading and
governing their work, which makes these
Orientals the best weavers in the world.
