You can use a vacuum without a beater bar to suck up dirt and debris. Beater bars can scratch the finish layer. As far as using a wet/dry vac in place of a mop, I would not recommend it. I would assume that you would be putting a lot of water down and then sucking it up when you should only damp mop bamboo. You don't want water to get in between the planks because the bamboo can absorb it and swell. Here is a link to full bamoo maintenance instructions.
