hi, i'm trying to convince my GF that a cork floor is for us. she likes it but doesn't like the tile look. it seems most of the cork we see is in square tiles. can you get cork in a plank like look? are the seams visible once it's laid? what we would really like to see is an actual installation so i'm hoping to find a local installer who can show us his/her work.

RE: cork flooring planks
Yes you can get cork in a plank like look.  Check out the different looks shown here www.findanyfloor.com/cork/CorkFloo....  There is even mosiac cork which is small circles of cork held together.  Your best bet is to search the locator tool on this site and find some retailers in your area.  Then visit their showrooms with your girlfriend to see some actual samples.  Once she walks on it and feels how soft it is underfoot, she'll probablly be sold.  Good luck forum image
