I’m having a baby in August and I’m baby proofing our house. We have lots of old carpet which I know must be full of dirt and bacteria, so we have decided to replace our living room, basement, and the baby’s room before he comes. We are outweighing the pros and cons of different floors that will be safe for our child. We love the idea of the softness of cork and the fact that it is hypoallergenic, but we’ve just never seen it done before and are hesitant to try something new. Does anyone have any experience with this or any other ideas we may need to consider?

RE: baby proofing
I think cork would be a great choice. Not only is it beautiful, but its hypoallergenic, mold and moisture resistant, insect resistant....
