Hi all. Would you recommend laminate for someone who uses a wheelchair? I am worried about scuffing the floor with the wheels. Is there an advantage over hardwood?

Laminate resists scratching better than hardwood. Tile or stone would be good too.

Some pre-finished hardwood flooring is also available with a very hard ceramic or aluminum oxide finish that should hold up well to this type of use.
