Can I install carpet without buying a tool to stretch it? I just have to do a very small room. If I need to buy a tool, what would you recommend?

RE: install carpet without a stretcher?
Carpet tools can be rented and you should be able to use a knee kicker in a very small room.

I agree, you need to stretch it somehow for proper installation regardless of the area size. I would recommend renting a small knee kicker. You can probably rent it for $5 or so.
