How do I know how big of an expansion gap I need to leave? I am installing engineered ash wood and I live in a pretty humid area.

RE: size of expansion gap?
Depending on the size of the room you can leave an expansion joint up to 1/2 inch. It is reccomended that you follow the manufacturers suggestions. Be sure to do a moisture test prior to installation.
