How can I use stencils and stain to create a unique pattern on white oak flooring?

Make sure the floor is clean, dry, and smooth. Map out your stencils and affix them to the floor is making tape. Next apply your paint or stain with a brush or spray can. Remove then stencil when finished before the paint dries. After a day or so, apply a coat of varnish.

I would use a coat of polyurethane finish to best protect your design.
