Good day all,

This is going to be my first DIY Laminate flooring job.  Right now I have carpet in the living room and dining room and vynal in the kitchen.  I want to repalce all with laminate.

The dinning room is next to the living room.  The living room is sunken approx 14" down from the dining room.  There is a partial woodend rail between the dinning room and living room that seperates the two rooms and a stair that goes down from the dining room into the living room.

The questions I need to ask are:

1.   Would I carry the laminate from the floor in the living room up the 14" to the flooring in the dining room.  How would this transition at the living room floor and the dining room floor?  Is there such a thing as a 90 degee joining board?

2.  What about the step?  Do I put the laminate on the two risers and how does this trainsition?

Thanx for your advise.
