Is laminate recommended for a first time self-installer?

RE: first time self-installer
You can probably handle it as long as you are able to cut the pieces using either a handsaw or an electric one. I’m not going to say it will be easy, but with a little patient and by carefully following directions you can do it.

I agree. I would recommend a floating installation rather than a glue down or a nail down.

If you choose to do a self-installation I wish you luck and patience! A good rule of thumb is however long you think it will take you, double it for your first time
