Is there anything I can do to sound proof my laminate that I am about to install? I had laminate in the past and it sounded hollow. I want to avoid that.

RE: hollow sounding laminate
Soundproof? No, but you can reduce sound with the use of an underlayment. Cork works excellent for this.
