Can someone please tell me - How do you create a honed finish on marble floors? Thank you!

It is polished, but they stop polishing before it becomes shiny.

I am currently working on a marble job that has 16 x 16 polished marble. The architect has specified a honed finish that was unavailiable so we will install the polished marble and then etch it with sulfamic acid to get a honed finish

Let me know how that goes Del. I have never honed a floor before. Any tips you can share would be welcomed. Good luck on the install.
