I am installing floating sheet vinyl in my basement. I recently pulled up carpet that was glued to the subfloor and some glue residue remains on the concrete. Do I need to remove the remainder of the glue or can I just lay my vinyl over it? Do any need any sort of moisture barrier?
I am very new to all of this so any help is very appreciated!

RE: Need help installing floating sheet vinyl
Yes, you need to remove all the glue and have a very smooth and flat surface. If you have bumps, or other imperfections on the subfloor, they will eventually show through the vinyl.
No moisture barrier is needed as vinyl acts as a moisture barrier.

Thanks Mrskosha. I found the vinyl installation guide on here and it has been really helpful.
