How can I use wood flooring to create a rustic feel in my ground level living room?

Choose a “cabin grade” wood or a product with a hand scraped finish or a distressed finish.

Wood flooring is available in several rustic looks. My personal favorite is hand scraped which has the look of a well worn floor.

I agree with the above answer. Hand scraped floors are great for rustic looks. I would choose wider planks as well.

Also choose woods that show lots of grain and color variations. Good luck with your project!
