I am replacing the flooring in my upstairs bedroom which has a wood subfloor. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t buy bamboo?

Yes I did, and I LOVE it!  I live in a very hot climate and the cool feel underfoot is great.  The look is exactly what I was going for and I have not scrathed it yet.  I highly recommend bamboo flooring.
