Is all bamboo equally durable? If not, what factors determine this?

No, not all bamboo is created equal. Many factors such as the environment it is grown in, the part of the stalk the floor is taken from, the age, and so on can make a huge difference.

Also remember that darker (carbonated) is softer than lighter bamboo.

No.

Strand bamboo is hard.

REgural horizontal and vertical bamboo is softer.

HI,

No, all bamboo is not same. The main basic factor which gives the hardness of bamboo is environment.
