Is all bamboo equally durable? If not, what factors determine this?

RE: Is all bamboo equally durable?
No, not all bamboo is created equal. Many factors such as the environment it is grown in, the part of the stalk the floor is taken from, the age, and so on can make a huge difference.

Construction methods, binding and finishing products used, also factor in.

Also remember that darker (carbonated) is softer than lighter bamboo.
