This depends. Bamboo made from Asian grass compressed and adhered together is often harder than oak but only when it doesn't come from the bottom or top of the stalk. Carbonizing bamboo also decreases it's strength.

Strand and woven bamboo is harder than oak.

Tropical Engineered floor is about 40% harder than Moso bamboo. It is harder than Oak and even Maple. Hardness: 1800-2000 lbs on the Janka Ball Test. Rubberwood core, square edges (no v-grooves), tight milling for a positive fit.
