Hello, I am thinking about putting bamboo flooring in my home, particularly because of the fact that it is a fast renewable resource and it is beautiful. I was wondering though, how durable is it.

RE: thinking about choosing bamboo.
To add to what Michael said, carbonized bamboo is not as durable as natural bamboo as it is boiled longer to result in the darker color which makes the bamboo softer.   You want to pay close attention to what the bamboo is finished with.  I would use  UV cured acrylic finish
