Can an old concrete subfloor in a basement be acid stained and made to look like some of the beautiful decorative concrete floors that I see?

It depends on what condition it is in. If not, you may do a concrete overlay which is a thin layer of concrete over the existing.

They are in good condition, so I'm going to go ahead and hire a pro to do it.
