Can someone explain the difference between concrete and cement?

Cement is one of the main ingredients in concrete.

Concrete is mainly made of cement, water, and other aggregates.

They are not the same. Cement is a product mixed with either sand and possibly lime to make a brick/block laying compound or a material to spread on a wall to give either an undercoat to plaster or a finished surface depending on how it is finished off or it is mixed with sand,stone dust and stone of varying sizes depending on its required use and structural strength and just mixed with stone gives a product which will give reasonable strength and allow water to run through the remaining spaces like behind a retaining wall.
