How strong and durable is cork compared to hardwood and bamboo?

It really is hard to say as it depends on some many factors. Hardwood and bamboo can range from extremely dense and durable to not so durable. The same goes for cork. A main difference is that a dropped object may dent all three, but cork will normally return to its original shape after a couple of hours. If you would like to use cork I would say go for it! Just do your research and make sure you are buying a quality product.
