How can I tell if I am getting a good, solid cork product? Are there any certifications I should look for?

I would make sure you buy a cork that has a low VOC level. This is usually posted on the label.

Solid or homogenous cork is higher quality than veneered cork. Finishing techniques can also affect quality.
