How can I tell if I am getting a good, solid cork product? Are there any certifications I should look for?

I would make sure you buy a cork that has a low VOC level. This is usually posted on the label.

Stay away from buying very thin cork floors.

Solid or homogenous cork is higher quality than veneered cork. Finishing techniques can also affect quality.
