Many people use the words “Pergo” and “laminate” interchangeably. Just like “Kleenex” and “tissue”. But Pergo is actually a brand name of laminate.

Pergo is actually the first brand of laminate flooring introduced to the US. They originated in Europe.

Pergo is a brand and lamiante is the broad name for all plastic lamiante floors that looks like wood.

some people say pergo but acctually mean laminate in general.
