How is linoleum sold? By this I mean planks, rolls, tiles, etc.

The answer is "D," all of the above. Actually, I haven't seen it in planks yet, but with the renewed interest in linoleum products in the last few years, if they don't have them, they will soon. Most commonly linoleum is sold in rolled goods 6-7 ft long and tiles. Checkout FAF's buying guide for more info.
