Is a cement backerboard the same as a hardibacker?

 Hardiebacker is a name brand product that appears fibrous in nature and looks very different than traditional cement backerboards such as Durrock. Hardiebacker contains some added ingredients. It contains Portland cement, ground sand, cellulose fibers and other selected additives.
