Can someone please explain the difference between ceramic and porcelain tiles? Also, which would you recommend for a high traffic kitchen?

RE: porcelain or ceramic
Porcelain tiles are denser, harder, and more durable than ceramic tiles. Porcelain comes either surface glazed or through-body color. For high traffic you are better off with porcelain.

RE: porcelain or ceramic
Ceramic tiles are normally a clay tile with a glaze surface that is fired. Porcelain tiles are full bodied with the porcelain thru the entire tile.
