Why is vinyl considered resilient?

Vinyl is resilient because it is flexible and has give.  Floors like tile and hardwood are not resilient.

yes ,I think so ,vinyl tile has some other names .
I wanna to communicate with everyone who want to be familiar with vinyl tile such as methods of installation and maintanance.
