Thats a tough one. Hardwood often emits more VOC after installation from wood preservatives or finshing product. Some laminate now has water based finishes as well. There are few laminates that are made with FSC certified wood materials though.

Thanks. I did find a laminate that was made with FSC certified wood, so I went with that.
