My cat keeps biting her nails, making then jagged. When she walks across our carpet she is catching loops and pulling them out or worse, getting stuck. Is there anything I can do to stop this?

Tiger Lover, If your cat is an inside cat I have talked with folks that had the same problem and they made the choice to have the cats claws removed. If you don't want to take this drastic action maybe just giving it a manicure will help.

Thanks Jim. I tried clipping the nails, but she still was biting them and making them jagged. I went ahead and got her declawed. Everything went well, ans my carpet is finally safe. Thanks for your advice.

I hope you are not talking about the cat in your picture, otherwise there is no hope for your carpet
