I want to get new floors for my New York loft. I have two cocker spaniels so I want to stay with a smooth product. I love the sleek look of concrete, but I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes to install and set and if there are any chemicals that are used in the process that are harmful to dogs.

I could better answer your question if I knew more about what look you want to create.  You can do a polished concrete by buffing, or you could do an acid stain and coat that with a sealant.  Whatever you do, it's best to keep the dogs out of the house during installation and drying time (if applicable).

Thanks for the info.  I will look into those options.
