They have rubber caps that you can put on pets nails, but if you can't trim them, putting these on will probably be difficult. You can use runners and area rugs where he/she walks most. Best bet is just take your dog to the groomer and have them cut the nails. I get mine chihuahua's done for $8. Not bad.
