Hi everyone, I have an antique area rug that is fraying at the fringe.  Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

TIP: Many carpet manufacturers require that you have your carpet cleaned by an IICRC certified carpet cleaner to maintain your warranty.

It's not a very expensive rug and it's only starting to fray a bit so i want to try to mend it myself.  I know it won't be prefect.  Can you help?

can you post a picture of the damage?  If it's not too bad, you can get some thread that matches the color of the rug.  Then, you would stitches several loops around the fraying area to gather it together.  It's a little hard to explain.  If you can post your picture, I can help more.
