Hi MSMull, If the paint is dry, it may be too late. Wet paint should be blotted up as much as possible with a white, absorbent cloth. Then use cool water and blot again. Next use a little dishwashing liquid and warm water and blot again. Repeat if necessary.

There is a product called Goof Off that I have used that has helped me with this problem.

If the paint is dry, contact a professional cleaner.
If it is wet, before you start blotting the carpet, scrape as much paint off with a spoon as you can. You don’t want to force it further into the carpet by blotting right away.
