My linoleum appears faded where the sun shines directly. Is there anything I can do to bring it back to its original color?

I would be surpised if you actually have linoelum and not vinyl.  Linoleum, being all natural usually deepens in color when exposed to sunlight.  This can even add to the beauty of the floor.  Vinyl is more prone to fading in sunlight.  There is no way to correct this.  In the future use UV protection on windows.

You were absolutely right.  We had a pro come out and look at it, and it was linoleum.  We are getting new laminate floors installed next week.  Thanks for the help.
