My dark brown grout is turning white regardless of how hard I try to scrub it out. Any idea why or how to fix it?

RE: dark brown grout turning white
It is more than likely a result of efflorescence. This is a powdery substance that results from the curing process. They sell grout cleaning products designed to remove efflorescence. Try that first. If all else fails your options are to either apply a grout stain, or scrape out the grout with a grout scraper and regrout.

I found a cleaner for efflorescence and it did the trick.  Thanks Michael!
