Use laminate in basement?

I really love laminate and I would like to install it in my basement. It is relatively dry. It is ok to use laminate there and are there any precautions that I should take?

Yes it can be installed in your basement. Be sure to take a moisture test prior to installation and use a moisture barrier under the flooring.

First, check out page 14 of this manual www.findanyfloor.com/pub/pdf/Insta...

It goes over moisture and laminate in detail. 

You can do an at home test on concrete by taping a square of plastic to the subfloor for 24 hours.  If moisture collects under the plastic, you have a moisture problem.
