Does anyone know where I can find an overview of all the floors that are safe for use in a basement?  thanks!

Check out the blog at this link. It gives an overview of what floors are safe for use in the basement and what floors are not.  Hope that helps.

I did a stained concrete overlay in my basement.  Just an idea that you might want to look into.  They have some graet info about concrete flooring in the concrete section on here.

laminate is usually great for basements.  be sure that your basement passes a moisture test before installing any type of flooring.
