Hi everyone. What would you recommend in a kitchen that is ground level – laminate or engineered hardwood and why?

They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Laminate will resist denting very well but hardwood can usually be refinished if damage does occur, while laminate cannot.

Hmmm....I'm still undecided. Thanks for the tip though!

Gayle44, both products are very susceptible to damage by water. You may want to take a look at a laminate floor that you glue together. In any event, be sure to have the potential wet areas caulked around the perimeter to prevent moisture from seeping under the flooring.

After reading ?Kosha's comment...  I'd still go with Laminate as  I myself have installed Lam in my kithcen in dining room. And apparently it turned out good.
